The Quincy Volunteer Fire Department once again helps kickoff the Fair Parade and the day’s festivities with its popular Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, July 29 from 7 to 10 a.m. at Station One on Lawrence Street. In addition to as many pancakes as you can eat, the time-honored menu also includes link sausage, fresh fruit, coffee, orange juice and milk. Price for adults is $10, children 12 and under, $8.

Jerry and Debbie Doll, who reside in Discovery Bay, and Jerry’s brother Charles and his wife Jennifer Doll of Modesto, are the new owners of the Plumas Pines Golf Resort in Blairsden. The two couples said they look forward to working with the current staff and making improvements and introducing new amenities and activities.

Plumas Bancorp, the parent company of Plumas Bank, today announced earnings during the second quarter of 2023 of $6.7 million, an increase of $1 million from $5.7 million during the second quarter of 2022. For the six months ending on June 30, 2023, the bank reported net income of $14.3 million, an increase of $2.9 million during the same period the year prior. Earnings during 2023 set a record for any six-month period ending on June 30 in the bank’s history.
