It’s easy to identify and draft the IDPs who had the high draft capital. What about those undrafted free agents? These are the guys who should have been drafted, but for whatever reason, either fell off draft boards or they came up short on draft grades. As key as the pre-draft process of player evaluation, the post-draft evaluation can be just as important, to make sure some players don’t fall through the cracks.

“Day 3 linebackers don’t matter.” That’s the reflex Twitter take every April, yet history keeps producing counter‑examples—think Foyesade Oluokun (180th overall) or Frankie Luvu (UDFA). Notre Dame’s Jack Kiser, snagged by Jacksonville at pick 107, enters a depth chart where the LB3 spot is a cracked door begging to be kicked in. One name that you’ll see conspicuous by his absence—Travis Hunter. I figure he’s going to be primarily a WR. I’m not sure how many leagues will actually count his IDP stats, outside of IDP leagues. With standard fantasy leagues still being the majority, I’m keeping him off my ranks. Welcome back to another round of IDP Winners and Losers—where we dive into the NFC winners and losers! The NFL drafts has created some domino effects and elevated some IDP talents while sending others spiraling downward. In this installment, I've spotlighted players who've solidified their roles as well as those who've had their fantasy outlook dimmed by draft-day surprises and crowded depth charts. This Substack is reader-supported.

Success during draft season starts with season-long projections. With that in mind, I’m back for another year providing my IDP projections as part of The IDP Show Draft Kit. Below, you’ll find the expected output for DL, LB, and DB (I’ve also included true position designations). Same as 2024, I’ve used Big 3 Scoring to calculate points, but as you’ll see below, you can customize these to fit your scoring. The only categories I don’t project are sack yards, defensive TDs, and safeties.
