1 INTRODUCTION Radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) and their potential health effects have been the subject of scientific investigation for decades.1 RF-EMF, spanning frequencies from 100 kHz to 300 GHz, are used in diverse applications. They are commonly used to transmit information wirelessly for broadcasting, telecommunication, and RF identification; they function in remote sensing tools such as radars and security scanners.
