Two years after the closure of the Red Balloon Learning Center, Columbia is set to open a new childcare center in the same location, Associate Provost and Director of the Office of Work/Life Amy Rabinowitz announced on Friday. The opening is pending regulatory approval from the New York City Department of Health, and applications will be available once approvals have been confirmed, Rabinowitz wrote in a release to Spectator. The new center will be Columbia’s ninth affiliated childcare site.
