TOPLINE:In patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with percutaneous coronary intervention, use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) prior to STEMI admission was associated with a significantly lower long-term all-cause mortality. This effect of GLP-1RA appeared stronger in women than in men.

However, even for those with access to specialised diabetes care and technology, many are still not meeting the 2022 glycaemic targets recommended by the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes.
