    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A new bill introduced in Sacramento would require landlords to give tenants the option to report their “on-time” rent history to a credit bureau, allowing renters to build up their credit score. “There are 17 million renters in California, about 40% of our state. Right now, if you’re paying your rent on time on a regular basis, that doesn’t have any positive impact on your credit,” said Assemblymember Matt Haney (D-San Francisco).
