Now, his shop is offering the car on eBay, minus that pony car engine and transmission, with an asking price of $29,800 or best offer. This ’59 had been stored inside for half a century after a heater box fire, when Dennis came to the rescue and brought it back into the light of day.

It all started 57 years ago with the introduction of the 1968 Corvette, and bidding has just opened on this 1968 coupe said to have received a new paint job in its original shade of Safari Yellow about 20 years ago. This first-year C3 is being offered on Bring a Trailer for the next seven days.

    Photo Credit: Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Police in California have located the C8 Corvette involved in a racing incident with a Mustang captured on surveillance video crashing into two other vehicles last month. Now the silver Stingray won’t be involved in another such race for at least a month after Vacaville authorities impounded the car for 30 days following a recent stop by Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies because of an alert that had been placed earlier by Vacaville Police.

    Chalk up another life apparently saved by the use of the controversial HANS device. Captured on video shared by the DragCoverage YouTube channel, it all went down at the World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis over the weekend. In the early going, there’s no sign of the catastrophe coming in a few seconds for an Arctic White C7 Corvette Stingray that was challenging a white Ford Mustang in a drag race.
