It appears as though members of the India A team taking on Australia A in Mackay have been accused of tampering with the ball by umpires. It is understood match officials change the ball before play on Sunday forcing a delay to the final day of the match. Indian players were heard over the stump microphone remonstrating with umpires over the decision — perplexed as to why there was a new ball.

Early on the fourth and final day of the match, umpire Shawn Craig announced they would be changing the match ball due to scratch marks which had appeared on it, with potential allegations of ball tampering thrown in.
