    17 April 2025 – The South African U15 Boys and Girls teams that will represent the country at the CAF African Schools Football Championship this month were given a special send-off at the Jabulile Secondary School in Orange Farm, Johannesburg, on Thursday. The tournament will be staged in Accra, Ghana, from 21 – 26 April 2025 and the South African teams travel to the West African country on Saturday, 19 April 2025.

    10 April 2025 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced that the SA U17 Women’s National Team, Bantwana, will not participate in the upcoming U17 COSAFA Women’s Championship scheduled for Namibia from 10-17 May 2025. SAFA took this decision in an effort to help the players focus more on their education. The Association has the responsibility of balancing education with football, especially for the younger players.

    10 April 2025 – South African Under-20 men’s national team coach, Raymond Mdaka, has named the squad that will represent the country at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) this month. The biennial African international youth football tournament will be held in Egypt from 27 April – 18 May 2025 and Senegal are the defending champions. Mdaka has announced a squad of 21 players while four are on standby.

    08 April 2025 – African champions Banyana Banyana clawed their way back from a goal down to beat a determined Malawi 2-1 in an international friendly match played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Tuesday. Vanessa Chikupira stunned the small but passionate home crowd when she beat Banyana Banyana goalkeeper Kaylin Swart to open the scoring in the 58th minute.
