1. Introduction Depression is the most common psychiatric disease in diabetic patients (1). Lustman et al. (1) conducted a large-scale epidemiological study on type 1 and type 2 diabetic patients and reported that the prevalence of depression in diabetic patients was approximately 30%, which was twice of that in non-diabetics. It could be a result of the physical, mental, and economic burden caused by diabetes and diabetic complications.
