A total of 150 male one-day-old Cobb broiler chicks were randomly distributed into three groups each with 5 replicates of 10 birds obtained from Al- Shrouk Poultry Company, Egypt. The birds were housed on the deep litter floor system (with hay from the day of the hatch) at a private farm. All housing areas, feeders, drinkers and heaters were cleaned and disinfected before the study. The environmental temperature was adjusted according to age.
