ABSTRACTIndia, one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world, with a Gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of over 7%, is witnessing rapid industrialization. Electricity demand has risen 6% annually since 2020, reaching 1,407 TWh in 2023, and it grew by 6.7% that year. The government is focusing on renewable energy to meet this increasing demand, and solar and wind comprise 88.15% of the total renewable energy capacity.
