Students trickled into the Northridge Center wearing flowing gowns, dress suits, and statement pieces while the venue walls were covered with imagery of a magic forest and rainbow ribbons. Spinning Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go,” DJ Rosegawd kicked off the event, leading the participants to sing and dance along to begin the night. On Thursday, April 3, CSUN’s Pride Center hosted “Queer Prom: An Enchanted Evening.” The event included karaoke, a 360 photo booth, dinner, sweets and mocktails.

The crowd was sweaty, music vibrated through the crowd and excitement was undeniably electric at CSUN’s Library Lawn. On Saturday, Big Show returned with headliner Deorro, drawing hundreds of students for a night of EDM, community and campus pride. Each year, CSUN’s Associated Students (AS) plan a live show on campus, including a line-up of billboard-charting artists, to celebrate the spring semester.

It was not just a few tears rolling down my face but a full-on sob that made my eyes red and my lips puffy. I was on the phone with my dad and it was at some point between ordering my kids meal with two legs, broccoli, a flour tortilla, and a diet coke. I was able to stop my tears when I paid, but the pain still stung.

A large peace sign necklace dangled from her neck. Guerra’s captivating presence carries into her music, where her lyrics and guitar strings pull listeners into her world.

When the wildfires hit Los Angeles this past January, the LA community rallied and donated food, supplies, and clothing to those impacted. The outpouring of support presented an unexpected challenge for these donation drives: a surge of used clothing. “There was a big influx of items, and we had to figure out how to sort them, what was actually wearable or usable,” said Brian Hand, owner of Hand-Brewed Beer and CSUN Alumni.
