Maryland women's basketball head coach Brenda Frese signed two All-Big Ten honorees to the roster for the 2025-26 season today. The Terrapins added guard Yarden Garzon and center Gracie Merkle. Grazon went to Indiana, while Merkle Penn State. Frese had this to say about her new additions. "Yarden has been such a core player on really good, winning teams," Frese said. "When her name popped up, our staff knew right away it was worth a call.

Towson and Loyola met for the 68th time tonight in Towson in men's lacrosse. The game ended in a thrilling double-overtime finish with Towson on top 13-12 after the extra periods. This was the third consecutive meeting between the two going to overtime. Towson (6-5) tied the game in the final second in regulation off an Owen Scott shot from Mikey Weisshaar. With 2:05 left in the second overtime period, the pair went to work again as Scott hit the game-winning shot to send Towson to victory.

Towson men's basketball continues to add more to its upcoming roster via the NCAA Transfer Portal. Pat Skerry announced the addition of guard Tyler Schmidt for the 2025-26 season. Schmidt played last season at Valparaiso after transferring from Olivet Nazarene and will spend his final college season in Towson. "We are fired up to add Tyler to our squad. He will impact our perimeter immediately with his scoring, shooting and IQ.

Navy didn't have to go far to find its next men's basketball head coach. Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk announced Jon Perry has been named the 20th head men's basketball coach. Perry succeeding his , Ed DeChellis, who retired last month after 14 seasons in Annapolis. "I am confident our team will be a top contender for the league championship next season," said Gladchuk. "All the pieces are in place and our athletes truly believe in each other and the staff.
