USC's Russian program is creating a virtual exchange with the Russian program at the Arctic University of Tromsø, Norway (UiT) starting in the fall 2025 semester. Through a grant from the UTFORSK, a Norwegian Directorate for higher education and skills, this educational collaboration between USC and UiT was able to happen. This grant allows Norwegian institutions to enhance international learning environments and the quality of higher education to address both local and global societal challenges.

Last summer, third-year computer science student Arshia Eslami had the idea of creating a website to make studying easy for students. A website that could make flashcards almost instantly, saving those time from having to type them out.

The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) has been working alongside the College of Information and Communications (CIC) to offer a new Master's of Sport and Entertainment degree based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Whilethere is a master of Sport and Entertainment Management degree already offered through the HRSM college, this new degree focuses more on the business of sports media, according to a statement by USC spokesperson Collyn Taylor.

In the past seven games against SEC opponents, South Carolina women's basketball senior forward Sania Feagin has put up a multitude of different offensive and defensive stats helping to extend the team's winning streak. Head coach Dawn Staley said that while the team has had talented post players during Feagin's time with the Gamecocks, she is one of the most talented post players the team has and is stepping up at the right time. “It’s been a buildup for her," Staley said.

The No. 18 South Carolina Gamecocks (7-3, 5-3 SEC) is set to take on the Wofford Terriers (5-6, 3-5 SoCon) in its final home game of the 2024 season on Saturday. South Carolina is coming off a win against the then-No. 23 Missouri Tigers, where senior running back Raheim Sanders scored the game-winning touchdown with 15 seconds left. The score helped lift the Gamecocks to a 34-30 victory.
