MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - Next year the FIFA World Cup will be hosted in the United States for the first time since 1994. Everyone who makes it to the pros starts somewhere. DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - All good teams have a special bond or chemistry. How it’s created is unique to that program. For the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots they bonded over a book “The Energy Bus,” and now Columbus is the one final stop on this route. “It’s the final week of the season and you guys are still playing,” said head coach Jeremy Coram before Monday’s Memorial Day practice. VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - In 2021 the Lowndes high school community named its track after longtime coach Hiram Johnson at the time Coach Johnson was retired. That would go on to be the start of his second coaching stint in the maroon and white. “When I started coaching track here at Lowndes High School it was a dirt track. Went from dirt track to cinder which is ground up gravel and from cinder it went to asphalt and finally in two thousand we got a rubberized track,” said Johnson.

FITZGERALD, Ga. (WALB) - According to autism speaks in the United States about 4 in 100 boys and 1 in 100 girls have autism. Fitzgerald’s Trenten Walker-Harmon was diagnosed in middle school. “I don’t let autism define me because I’m like everyone else we all bleed the same blood so nothing don’t bother me about the disability,” expressed Walker-Harmon. The average age to be diagnosed with autism is at age 4 or 5. Walker-Harmon was diagnosed with autism level 1 at the age of 12.
