    The Trump administration’s decision last week to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians in just six months has sent a shock through the Miami-Dade community, home to one of the largest concentrations of Haitians in the United States. Over 500,000 Haitians have relied on TPS to avoid returning to their home country during times of unrest. Some have been living and working in the U.S. since 2010, when residents of the island nation first became eligible for protections.
