Mrinmay DeySix people have died after a military helicopter plunged into a reservoir in Sri Lanka. Air force spokesperson Eranda Geeganage said the Bell 212 helicopter was carrying 12 people from the army and air force to a military pass out event on Friday (May 9). The military helicopter plunged into a reservoir in Maduru Oya, some 280 kilometers (175 miles) northeast of the capital Colombo. All the passengers onboard were recovered alive and transported to hospital.

Tesla's country head for India has resigned after nine years at the company and ahead of the U.S. EV maker's planned entry into the world’s third-largest car market, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. Tesla's China teams will oversee the Elon Musk-led firm's India operations, with no immediate successor named, the report said, citing unnamed sources. Prashanth Menon is also stepping down as the chairman of Tesla India's board, the report said.

The boat was carrying as many as 500 passengers, including women and children, when it overturned in the Congo River located in the country's northwest region on Tuesday, as per the reports.
