1. IntroductionDiabetes is a disease in which there is an abnormality in the secretion or function of insulin, which is necessary for controlling blood glucose levels in the body. The glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) test is used to determine how much hemoglobin in red blood cells is glycated and reflects changes in blood glucose over the past 3 months according to the average lifespan of red blood cells.
