As per the recent poll conducted by Shiksha.com concerning the consequences of NEET PG cutoff percentile reduction, over 60% of aspirants and stakeholders said that lowering the cutoff reduces quality standards. While 31% of students said lowering the cutoff reduces competition. However, the reduction in the NEET PG 2024 cutoff percentile has sparked a significant debate about the quality standards in medical education and healthcare future across the country.

NExT 2025 will not be held this year, majority students believe in a Shiksha poll. They were provided different options related to chances of NExT this year and majority chose no option. It must be noted NEET PG 2025 date has already been announced, i.e June 15 which also indicates no chance of NExT this year. NExT 2025: There is a least chance that NExT exam will happen for 2025-26 academic session. The exam was expected to begin from this year for 2020 batch MBBS students.
