    Musa Peace Affos Panic struck on Wednesday night as a classroom collapsed at a school in Namnai during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), leaving several students and teachers injured. Eyewitnesses reported that the collapse occurred during the English Language exam. The tragedy struck after heavy rainfall began mid-examination, weakening the already dilapidated structure and causing it to give way.

    Troops of the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, operating under Operation Golden Peace, have arrested three suspected cattle rustlers and recovered a large number of stolen livestock in Taraba State. In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Acting Spokesperson of the Brigade, Captain Oni Olubodunde, the arrests were made on January 27, 2025, at Namnai village in Gassol Local Government Area, following an intelligence-led operation.
