The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement was established in 2014, immediately after the Pakistan army commenced operations against the people of Waziristan. Eight university students, including Manzoor Ahmad Pashteen demanded removal of landmines from the area. In 2028, protests against the illegal killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud in Karachi city by a Punjabi police officer. Mazoor Ahmad Pashteen received his primary education from his village in South Waziristan.
