This could also result in a 20%–30% reduction in lake productivity and a significant decrease in plant species. But there cannot be a discussion about biodiversity without a discussion on wetlands. Wetlands are incredibly biodiverse ecosystems that support a wide array of flora and fauna that we depend on.

I have not been to a COP since COP25 which was in Madrid in December 2019 - in the Pre-Covid world. In 2019 I read a fantastic book by Priya Parker entitled "The Art of Gathering" - which I loved (and worth reading). In her opening intro she said "The way we gather matters. Gatherings consume our days and help determine the kind of world we live in, in both intimate and public realms." Now that got me on many levels.
