    Data and MethodologyOur article uses the best available polling and survey data to adjudicate between the four potential rationales for the race gap in war support proposed above for one of the most major wars in recent history: the US war in Iraq. Using Iraq War data for this study allows us to gauge the extent to which the race gap in support for war has persisted into recent years.
