Gombe State Government has trained 200 women and 300 secondary school students on the production of anti-malnutrition food known as Ready-To-Use-Therapeutic Food (RUTF) in the state. The State, through the Ministries of Science, Technology and Innovation and that of Education, produced the RUTF tagged ‘Garin Inuwa’ for distribution to about 2,000 children selected across the state to address acute malnutrition.

The North-Eastern University (NEU), Gombe, has approved an immediate 20% salary increase for all staff, including employees of its affiliate Pen Resource Academy, as part of efforts to boost morale and reward dedication. The NEU said this marks the third salary review in two years under the leadership of Pro-Chancellor Dr. Sani Jauro, following a 35% raise implemented in October 2023.
