A group, Itsekiri Leaders of Thought in Warri, Delta State has kicked against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proposed ward delineation report in the state. Sir Amorighoye Mene, the group’s secretary, who addressed newsmen yesterday in Asaba, said they would challenge INEC on the delineation in the Warri Federal Constituency. Umar allegedly criticised the lawmaker online recently, prompting him to file legal action. The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) has sealed about 100 illegal medicine shops in Gombe State as part of its efforts to regulate and control the practice of pharmacy in the country. The head of enforcement at PCN in Gombe State, Dr Suleiman Chiroma, revealed this while addressing newsmen in the state. He said that seven individuals were also arrested for breaking the council’s seal on their shops in 2022 and 2024, and would face prosecution for tampering with the seal.

President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the death of Bauchi-based Islamic cleric, Dr Idris Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi on Thursday night. In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu said the cleric contributed to moulding millions of youths and other Muslim faithful on the tenets of Islam.
