KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) needs at least RM100 million for maintenance work at 57 Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) schools nationwide. Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, however, admitted that the amount was insufficient, as it could only cover maintenance work for basic facilities at the schools.

KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has no plans to change the 10 per cent quota for non-Bumiputera enrolment in Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) schools. This is despite non-Bumiputera student enrolment in MRSM remaining stagnant at one per cent almost every year. Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said MRSM has always opened its doors to all Malaysians and fully supports efforts to promote unity and integration among Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera students.
