There are many reasons why volunteers choose to donate their time at the St. James Caring Center Commodity Day each month. While many feel strongly about fighting food insecurity, volunteering at the Caring Center allows individuals from nearly all walks of life to make a difference in the lives of those who are unsure if they will have the next meal.

St. James Caring Center emergency food pantry is nearly depleted. The emergency food pantry is separate from Commodity Day. Emergency food is distributed anytime we have clients in need. We are requesting your assistance. Below is a list of non-perishable items that would replenish our stock. If you prefer, we can do the shopping, monetary donations are welcomed. Nothing accepted in glass containers. Call Heaven Morgan at the Caring Center to schedule drop-offs at 573-265-2047.
