Dana Karstensen of the Jekyll Island Authority (JIA) explained the mission and goals of the JIA. She also shared some historical information about the island. Members then had the opportunity to tour the MOSAIC Museum.

By Nancy Purcell At a recent meeting of the Golden Isles Retired Educators Association, members were treated to a selection of holiday music by the Brunswick High School Band's saxophone ensemble. Also, the retired educators continued their annual Toy Drive tradition by bringing wrapped gifts, for three and four year old students who attend the FACES (Family and Children Educational Services) Center, and who live in disadvantaged circumstances.
