We just finished decorating our home for Christmas, which I love to do, and as always, we decided to retire a few items. Sometimes we get rid of things because they’re worn out, but a few items aren’t our style anymore. There are quite a few Christmas decorations that seem to be classics that people secretly loathe. I bought my grandparents’ home in 2010. The house looked pretty much the same as it had when it was built in 1963, just a little worn out in parts. But when I purchased the home, I already knew I didn’t want to change everything completely. Instead, I planned to update some things and keep others, working with the home’s ‘60s origins. I dubbed my design plan retro-modern. As luck would have it, many 1960s and 1970s design trends made a big comeback around the early 2020s.
