At their Cherokee Street shop, STL Stylehouse, you’ll find tees, stickers, hats, posters, and all manner of St. Louis swag. Jeff’s favorite shirt design actually predates the store, which the twin brothers opened at the corner of Cherokee Street and Compton Avenue in 2010.

    A View Of Columbus Through Rose-Colored GlassesHow do you lose a favorite cousin? Just in case you need to know right, the answer is that I found her. Martha Jo Birdwell McMillin was born on March 24, 1937. I was a bit older. We had a grand time playing monopoly, building playhouses, selling lemonade from a stand or swimming at the beach made by the Pecos River in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Our favorite enterprise was an office with the big typewriter that Martha’s Paw Paw had kept after retirement.

After Christmas and New Year’s, it occurred to me that I have skipped three years of sending out Christmas cards. One reason is that stamps are so expensive and I don’t seem to find time to look forward and prepare the purchase of cards and make my recipient list. Needlesstosay,there is certainly no time to write a little note about the activities of children and grandchildren.

One day recently I had a chance to sit for a while at the corner of Milam & Spring. I had a clear view of the buildings on the west side of Milam. I noticed the lovely designs at the top of the buildings. All of a sudden, I was in a big daydream. I could see the upper parts of the buildings painted.
