Ibe Liebenberg is a Chickasaw Nation citizen living in Chico. He's a state firefighter and a lecturer at Chico State. He's got an MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in poetry and fiction. His writing has been published in places like Poetry magazine and The Threepenny Review. His book, "Birds at Night: Poems," is his first book-length collection of poetry, exploring themes of loss, trauma, PTSD, and familial relationships.
