CHENNAI: Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) will acquire 95% stake in Japanese auto components company Atsumitec Co for a cash consideration. The acquisition will be done via a 100% subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group BV. The remaining 5% voting rights stake will continue to be owned by Honda Motor. Currently Honda Motor owns 48.01% in Atsumitec while the founders and other shareholders hold the rest.

CHENNAI: Coimbatore-based auto components major Pricol is all set to acquire Sundaram Auto Components Ltd (SACL)’s injection moulding business through its wholly owned subsidiary Pricol Precision Products. The debt-free acquisition is being made through an all-cash deal for Rs 215.3 crore and is subject to adjustments, if any, as defined in the agreement at the time of closing the deal.
