India, July 24 -- Indians will soon have access to a new drug that targets obesity and diabetes, two diseases, which are widely prevalent among our population. The national drug regulation body, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), has reportedly authorised the use of the drug, tirzapatide, for treatment of diabetes. The use of tirzapatide for chronic weight management is still under review.
