Lawton, Okla.-based Comanche County Memorial Hospital is transitioning from seven different medical record systems to a single Meditech EHR system, KSWO reported June 5. Meditech began working with the hospital in early June to facilitate a smooth transition. Comanche County Memorial Hospital plans to go live with the new system in August 2026.

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare is investing $51 million in a modernized, integrated EHR system following its acquisition of Warner Robins, Ga.-based Houston Healthcare. “By installing Epic, a leading EHR system, clinicians will be able to provide more coordinated care between all Emory facilities, while enhancing both the patient and employee experience,” the health system said in a June 4 news release. Houston Healthcare officially joined Emory on June 1.

Epic earned a B grade and an overall performance score of 82.3 out of 100 in the ambulatory health IT space, according to KLAS Research’s “Ambulatory Ecosystem Epic Complete Look 2025” report. The report is based on feedback from interviews with 87 independent ambulatory organizations conducted between December 2023 and December 2024. It focuses solely on independent ambulatory organizations, excluding those owned by hospitals or health systems.
