I’m back for another round up of the books I’ve read, the music I’ve listened to, the podcasts I’ve binged, and a few other things I’m loving. As always, this monthly offering is free. I love sharing the things I love, especially books. However, if you value what I share here on What Moves You, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. Your support means so much to me. For those who are already paid subscribers: thank you so much. I am so grateful for you. I read 5 books this month.

Do you enjoy reading about motherhood in ways that push back against the current narrative, fueled by tradwives and pronatalists? Subscribe to What Moves You and help support writing that gives a voice to motherhood that is messy, real, imperfect, and honest. When I was a new mom, I didn’t have any moms I idolized and wanted to model my own motherhood after. Do you enjoy reading about health and fitness that pushes back against the dominant diet culture narrative, particularly when it intersects with motherhood? Support my work by reading, liking, and sharing this piece. And of course, the very best way to support my work is with a paid subscription. Andy Elliott is a bad dad. I typically try to steer clear of making sweeping judgments about another person's parenting, particularly if I don't see them in action in real life on a regular basis.

Love reading about libraries as much as you love reading? Please enjoy this love letter to libraries and the people who work there. And help support more work like this by becoming a free or paid subscriber. Your support makes this possible. I love libraries. Over the years, I’ve accumulated library cards like talismans. Every time we move to a new place, the first thing I do is locate the closest library and get myself a card. Now that all 3 of my kids are old enough, I get them library cards, too.
