Winter is a great time to go through all the gear and decide what stays and what needs to go. Our team at Photography Life decided to run a garage sale of all the items that should go to trusty hands at great prices! Below is a list of all items that need to go. I have been debating what system I want to keep as my primary for a while now. Although I really love my Fujifilm medium format system and I have taken stunning photos with it, I decided that it is a bit too heavy for my back.

As I was going through the pains of reducing my photo storage, it was a fun experience to go back to my early work and see if there was anything worth keeping. While deleting a large collection of panoramic images, I found a couple that I ended up saving. Interestingly, I realized that at the time I was taking these photos, Lightroom had no panorama capabilities to create a single DNG image out of RAW shots (I used PTGui and Photoshop at the time).

Over the holidays, I finally decided to start a thorough clean-up of my Lightroom catalog and images. Many years of shooting resulted in accumulation of almost 400 thousand images and videos in original formats, and I got tired of trying to keep my data backed up and synced between different storage solutions.

We look forward to welcoming you to two of the most beautiful destinations in the world for photography at the best times of year. For the first time, our Colorado Fall Colors workshop will take place around the area of Crested Butte, as our previous destination of Ouray has gotten overrun with tourists at this time of year.

This is the conclusion our core group of writers came up with in one of our internal calls, where we debated the use of generative AI for both creating images and writing content. Without a doubt, the growth of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies has been tremendous in the past few years. Heck, it seems like something new comes out about every week – from walking and talking robots to incredible new ways of editing photos and videos.
