PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A man in Prince George's Co. is dead after he was struck by a car on Indian Head Highway. Officers from the Prince George's County Police Department responded to Old Fort Road around 1 a.m. and found a man on the road. Police said the man was pronounced dead on the scene and the striking car remained on the scene. Officials have not provided any additional information about this case.

WASHINGTON — Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department are searching for a suspect connected to a homicide in Southeast, D.C. On Sept. 25, police reported to the 2300 block of Green Street after receiving a report of a shooting, according to officials. When they arrived they found a 16-year-old boy named Jamal Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. Jamal was ultimately pronounced dead later at the scene.

WASHINGTON — Indigenous Peoples' Day is Monday and metro services will be impacted over the holiday. Officials say metro services will operate at weekend service levels. Metro's customer service will operate from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. The Metrorail will operate on normal weekend level services without any scheduled track work, however, metro riders can expect regular weekday fares, according to Metro officials. Parking will be free at all metro parking lots.

A man named Daquan Artis was sentenced in Prince William County, Virginia on Friday to 98 years in prison after robbing two people of their winnings from the MGM casino at the National Harbor. According to officials, on December 19, 2019, police responded to Pearson Drive in Woodbridge after receiving a call about shots being fired. When they arrived they found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound and assault wounds to the upper body.

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Officers in Prince George's County are investigating after an accident involving a motorcycle and car left a man dead, a child and another adult injured. Police responded to the area of Central Avenue and Peppermill Drive after receiving a report of an accident. When they arrived, police found a man, who was the driver of the motorcycle, and a child, who was in a car during the accident, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital.
