(WGHP) — Winston-Salem State University student Ayanna Tewolde is entering a busy stretch of her internship just a few weeks ahead of a major racing event. “One of the biggest sporting events is the Indianapolis 500, housing almost 300,000 people at this venue, so you can imagine it’s a lot leading up to it,” Tewolde said. Tewolde is focused on making sure fans feel the excitement across the city and state.

(WGHP) — There’s no question as to what day it is when Life Church Worldwide members and volunteers see a line of cars wrapped around the building. “We do this every Tuesday from 9 to 12. It’s open to anybody in the community that is in need,” Life Church Worldwide Lead Pastor Dr. Claire Robinson said. On most Tuesdays, people begin waiting in their cars as early as 6 a.m. to receive items from the church’s weekly drive-through giveaway of food and clothes.
