    Southampton have confirmed ex-Roma boss Ivan Juric as their new manager to replace Russell Martin. The 49-year-old has agreed to an 18-month deal, which includes a break clause at the end of the season. But he may not be able to take charge of his first Saints match on Sunday despite his appointment. The south coast side face Fulham at Craven Cottage at 2pm, and it remains to be seen whether he will be in the dugout for the match. Juric is yet to have his Visa permitted to allow him to work.

    Chelsea welcome Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League on Thursday, and fans may recognise one of the away side's players. It won't be who they think of originally, though, but his son instead. The son of former Arsenal, Sunderland and Derby goalkeeper Mart Poom is expected to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Markus Poom, born in Derby during his father's spell at Pride Park in the 1990s, currently plays for Shamrock Rovers. The 25-year-old is on loan from Flora and has been since January 2023.
