Penn State's wrestling season came to a close nearly a month ago, but that doesn't mean that wrestling is over. The Nittany Lions had Luke Lilledahl, Levi Haines and Connor Mirasola all compete for the United States in the U23 Pan-American Games Championships in Queretaro, Mexico, on Saturday. The trio all won gold medals at their respective weight classes in dominating fashion. Lilledahl (57 kilograms, 125 pounds), competed in a true bracket.

Mar. 24—PHILADELPHIA — It's becoming somewhat of a trend for former Centre County athletes to compete in the NCAA Wrestling Championships. A year ago, Bellefonte graduate Jude Swisher and Penns Valley graduate Malachi DuVall were part of a three-man contingent in Kansas City. Swisher, who competes for Penn, and DuVall, who is at George Mason, made their second straight trip to the tournament this year, and it was somewhat close to home.
