MILTON - Trey Jones pitched a one-hitter, his second 1-hit gem in less than a week, and Milton scored three times in the fourth inning en route to beat visiting Fort Atkinson 3-1 in the Badger Large Conference baseball opener for both teams on Tuesday. The Blackhawks (3-3, 0-1 in conference) got their lone hit of the afternoon with two outs in the first, as Brogan Bosch singled on a ground ball to right field.

Thiede threw the first four innings and allowed an unearned run in the fourth to earn the decision. He struck out three and walked six before turning it over to Merz, who fanned two and walked none in two frames.
