Photo by Nathanial George/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images In case you did not hear, Nebraska’s expected punter for the 2025 season, Jack McCallister, who transferred from Washington has now entered the transfer portal. In fact, Matt Rhule opened his press conference yesterday with a great unprompted speech about how professional Jack McCallister has been at Nebraska. Barthel was effusive in his praise for Kwinten Ives.

Sean Callahan today: “Nebraska finishes 2024-25 as a winner in football and basketball: For the first time since 1995-96, both the Nebraska football and basketball teams finished the year on a winning note.” That’s an amazingly depressing stat while sadly impressive in a way.
