In a new list naming the “best” or iconic beverages for each state, the magazine picked the souped-up sodas for Utah. “Made in Utah and made famous nationwide on TikTok, dirty sodas are dressed-up soft drinks mixed with cream and optional flavored syrup,” the article says.

Utah home prices edged up over the past year, and selling a home appears to be getting tougher, according to a new report. Redfin, a national brokerage, said home prices in Utah were up 4.1% year-over-year in May, reaching $566,900. But fewer homes sold — down 1.1% to 3607 — and the number of homes for sale rose 22.1%.

Colorado home prices barely edged up over the past year, and selling a home appears to be getting tougher, according to a new report. Redfin, a national brokerage, reported that median home prices in Colorado were up 1.1% year-over-year in May, reaching $610,900. But fewer homes sold – down 2.6% to 7,265 – and the number of homes for sale rose 22.4%.

Supermarket giant Kroger, the parent of King Soopers and City Market in Colorado, announced on June 20 that it plans to close 60 stores over the next 18 months. The Cincinnati-based retailer, whose attempt to merge with Albertson’s failed in December, didn't specify what locations would close. The company operated 2,731 supermarkets across 35 states at the beginning of its fiscal year, indicating the cuts represent a little more than 2% of its locations.

Popular trails, wildlife habitats and even ski resorts are among more than 18 million acres of public land in Utah that appear to be eligible for sale under the latest version of the Big Beautiful Bill budget proposal. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee's bill calls for the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service to sell off up to 3.3 million acres in Utah and 10 other western states over five years, about 0.75% of the agencies’ combined holdings across the country.
