The greatest ever Yorkshireman, Sir Michael Palin, is set to appear in a new sitcom created, written and directed by BAFTA-winning Mackenzie Crook who is known in part for Detectorists and also his iconic character in the mock-documentary The Office. Small Prophets (working title) is set to be produced by BAFTA-winning Gill Isles (Car Share, Alma’s Not Normal), from Treasure Trove Productions and Blue House Productions.

The team behind the Viking-themed pub in York, Valhalla, are set to open a new venue in Whitby, with a vision for something similar in spirit. Whitby Abbey, 199 steps, the pier and sandy beaches are just some of the things that the seaside town popular with thousands is known for. And, now this exciting new venue gets to add to that history. Valhalla opened in York just off the Shambles Market back in 2017 and has been a huge hit in the historic city.

Now under the stewardship of Staffordshire-based Cocker Hoop Creative Ltd, the festival has found a new home in Aireville Park, Skipton, right at the gateway to the Dales.
