The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized a host of new obligations for upstream and midstream oil and gas owners and operators. These new source performance standards (“NSPS”) and emission guidelines (“EG”) for greenhouse gas (“GHG”) and volatile organic compound (“VOC”) emissions for the oil and natural gas sector are colloquially referred to as “Quad Ob” and “Quad Oc” and were published on March 8, 2024.
