On April 14th, Swansea City announced Real Madrid star Luka Modric as their new co-owner and investor. Hannes Delcroix was on loan at Swansea City for the second half of the season and has now left the Welsh club. The defender has been speaking to Gazet van Antwerpen, where he stated the new Swans owner sent a message during the club’s end of season awards ceremony. “He sent a video message at our Player Awards. Burnley’s Hannes Delcroix says he’s unsure of where he will play next season. Friday’s edition of Gazet van Antwerpen has published a detailed interview with the 26-year-old, where they inevitably asked him about Vincent Kompany. The centre-back played under the manager at Anderlecht and Kompany brought him to Burnley in August 2023. Delcroix was limited to 855 minutes from 15 games for Burnley. His debut season was cut short when he suffered a serious injury in April 2024.
