As everyone lowered on the 2024 NBA Draft class, the Washington Wizards zagged, picking up three talented rookies to add to its rebuild and build a foundation of young talent to join Bilal Coulibaly from the 2023 NBA Draft. Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George and Bub Carrington have all been tossed into the fire as rookies and impressed on Thursday against the Suns. Sarr posted 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.

Orlando Magic rookie forward Tristan da Silva has had his troubles from beyond the arc, but is finding other ways to contribute on a team that desperately needs his production with several injuries to their front court throughout the season. The rookie has shown development in a multitude of areas, posting a 25-point night against Toronto on January 3 and a 16-point, 10-rebound night against Milwaukee on January 10.

As was expected with the team's various project selections from the 2024 NBA Draft, it hasn't exactly been an easy debut season so far for the Utah Jazz rookies. While second-rounder Kyle Filipowski has added some in the ways of positive impact, both lottery pick Cody Williams and late-first-rounder Isaiah Collier have seen slow starts. Collier, especially, has had a rough go, seeing just 3.4 points on 32% shooting overall across his 30 games.

Williams was a highly regarded prospect by the time the draft came around, a season riddled with injuries saw flaws otherlooked and the promise of NBA spacing felt like it would help the rookie overcome issues. Far too often, the Jazz swingman would float around the court without making an impact as a passive player.

Donovan Clingan was a coveted prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft, with many whispers of teams looking for ways to move up in the draft to select the UCONN big man. The Rockets, who have exceeded expectations and currently sit at No. 2 in the Western Conference, assigned Sheppard to the G League Monday.

Although he was not knocking down shots like he was last week, Wells impacted the game in other ways that showcased his rapid improvement as he continues his impressive rookie season. The 6-foot-8 wing grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds and got to the free throw line 11 times making 10 of those attempts.

Grizzlies' big man Zach Edey has been one of the better rookies to take the court this season. At 7-foot-4, he dominated college basketball with near-unprecedented stat-lines, and that's somewhat carried over to the professional level, too. In his 22 games played, he's seen 10.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, shooting 60% overall and 41% from beyond the arc: all very solid numbers for a previously thought of slow-footed big.

Utah was able to select Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski in the 2024 NBA Draft, all of whom had top-ten buzz around them at varying points in the 2024 NBA Draft cycle. Williams is in the G League, Filipowski on the shelf and Collier floating in and out of the rotation.
