In an early scene in Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts,’ superheroes are in a futuristic warehouse, fighting one another. This fighting scene is important because it’s the first meeting of a new super-team that will be important to the MCU because, frankly, most of the other superheroes have left the series. This is who they have under contract. We hear a burp from behind a crate. And into the scene, wearing a hospital gown, crawls a new character, doe-eyed and naive.

Tesla (TSLA) is about to launch a fleet of 300 robot taxis in Austin, Texas. EV companies based in China have just announced a breakthrough technology that will allow cars to charge in five minutes, about the same amount of time it takes to fill up a car with gas.

‘The Shrouds’ is a film about mourning a beloved spouse, a topic that 82-year-old director David Cronenberg knows too much about; he lost his second wife, who was at least a decade younger than him, in 2017. Because this is a David Cronenberg film, there are also plenty of severed limbs and sutures and transgressive sex scenes taking place in gloomily-lit interiors with foreboding electronic music in the background. The movie’s soul feels authentic and lived-in.
