Spring is many people’s favorite time of year for obvious reasons. Out here in the rural parts it is truly breathtaking. The biggest thrill for me is all the bird species returning and the emergence of local animals from hibernation. I missed them! There is one thing I am not happy about however; the drastic uptick in roadkill. One reason for this drastic increase is obvious; there are just more animals, but the other is a little more interesting?

The well of ideas is bottomless. Our brains are magic places. If we still haven’t a really solid idea of how brains work, can they still be filed under “magic?” They can’t just live in the slightly less exciting category of “unknown,” they are too powerful and they make everything “go.” They dream, they invent, and when used with intention their power is almost dangerous. Their power is almost enough to create world peace. Subscribeth, ifs’t thou wilt.

That’s me. Sorry for my lack of a second post last week. I ended up in the ER on Thursday for a “foreign particle” stuck in my eye. It was excruciating and maddening. It was also on what was supposed to be my “day off,” which made me angrier than the actual pain. I don’t get those hardly ever and I guard them like an unhinged rabid dog when I do. So much driving with one eye! At least it was daytime.
