    It’s the last day for Winchester High School seniors and they crowd into Gina Zhou’s classroom, seeking photos and asking her to sign yearbooks. She happily does so, doling out praise, offering advice, joking around and sending them off with hugs and promises to check in with her from time to time as they go about their new lives in college. They in, in turn, tell her they love her, that they will miss her terribly and she was the best teacher they ever had.

    Debbie Boyle has been dancing her whole life — and for the last 35 years, she has passed that passion onto the countless students who have made it through the doors of Ballet Arts Centre. But on May 17, Boyle closed the doors on her long-time business in order to finally retire. “This is something I’ve been doing six days a week all these years,” Boyle said. “Keeping up with it is taking up all the time I have.”But it wasn’t an easy decision. “I’m in my 70s so I’m up there,” she said, with a laugh.

    Spring Town Meeting is done, but that doesn’t mean the work is over for Philip Frattaroli. The town moderator has been soliciting feedback and readying for the summer work needed to be done before the fall. “I had a lot of fun,” Frattaroli said, of his first Town Meeting holding the moderator reins. “It was a fun process. A lot of preparation goes on and I didn’t realize just how much preparation there was.
